Poster Instructions

Presentation Collection and Review

All presentations (DTRA-FUNDED RESEARCH, DoD FUNDED RESEARCH, FEDERALLY FUNDED RESEARCH, and Non-GOVERNMENT FUNDED RESEARCH) will be reviewed and cleared for public release. No proprietary or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) will be presented.

Presentation collection begins August 26 with a deadline of October 4.

Public Release Markers

Branded images with public release statements must be included on all presentations. Images must be placed in the lower right corner of the first slide to identify DTRA-FUNDED RESEARCH, DoD FUNDED RESEARCH, FEDERALLY FUNDED RESEARCH, and Non-GOVERNMENT FUNDED RESEARCH. Images will be available for download on the presentation collection website.

Poster Presenter Guidelines

The 2024 CBD S&T Conference will include two poster sessions. Poster presenters will display their posters throughout the conference and will present either during Poster Session I on Tuesday, December 3 from 1730–1930 or Poster Session II on Wednesday, December 4 from 1700-1900.

Display Instructions

Each poster presenter will have a 4 ft. high by 8 ft. wide space on a free-standing board to display their posters. Push-pins will be provided.
Utilize the Space

Occupy at least 50 percent of the 4 ft x 8 ft space. Landscape orientation is recommended based on the amount of space.

Fonts

Use a large font size (minimum of 24 points) so it can be read from a distance.

Graphics

Include visual elements (charts, graphs, photographs, or graphic images). Ensure visuals are clear and well-labeled. It is strongly discouraged to use printed PowerPoint slides as posters. Table-top displays are not permitted, and electricity is not available.

Poster Presentation Day and Numbers

Visit the agenda tab on September 17, click poster listing for poster presentation day. Numbers will be assigned prior to the conference.

Tuesday, December 3

Wednesday, December 4

1700–1900

Poster presenters are required to:

  • Manage and present for the duration of the poster session. Poster presenters making multiple presentations can bounce between posters.
  • Keep posters displayed for the full time outlined above

Poster Session II on Wednesday evening.

All posters must be removed by noon.

Poster Shipping

It is highly recommended if shipping posters to send directly to your hotel and hand carry to the convention center. Please do not ship any posters to the Convention Center as the Center is not responsible for lost/misplaced items.
