Student Travel Award (STA) E-poster Instructions
Presentation Collection and Review
All presentations (DTRA-FUNDED RESEARCH, DoD FUNDED RESEARCH, FEDERALLY FUNDED RESEARCH, and Non-GOVERNMENT FUNDED RESEARCH) will be reviewed and cleared for public release. No proprietary or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) will be presented.
Presentation collection begins August 26 with an extended deadline of October 11.
Public Release Markers
Branded images with public release statements must be included on all presentations. Images must be placed in the lower right corner of the first slide to identify DTRA-FUNDED RESEARCH, DoD FUNDED RESEARCH, FEDERALLY FUNDED RESEARCH, and Non-GOVERNMENT FUNDED RESEARCH. Images will be available for download on the presentation collection website.
E-Poster Presenter Guidelines
The 2024 CBD S&T Conference will include one e-poster session designated for student travel awardees.
E-poster presenters present during the Social, Exhibit Preview, and Student Travel Awardee E-poster Session on Tuesday, December 2, from 1730-1900. E-poster presenters must provide their e-poster (one pager) in PowerPoint or PDF format for a 10-minute presentation and discussion. The 10-minute timeslot includes presentation and Q&A/discussion. Presenters should be at e-poster pods 10 minutes before the start of their session.

Audio Visual Equipment
Each e-poster pod will be equipped with a Windows PC laptop and 50” inch monitor. Presenters are required to use conference provided PC Laptops. Use of personal laptops or other devices is not permitted.
Fonts
Avoid using small fonts. A minimum font size of 24 point is recommended, larger fonts are easily readable. Avoid fancy serifs; bolded characters are suggested.
Include at least one visual element (chart, photograph, graphic or image). Hyperlinks, animated images, animations and embedded videos are not permitted.
Ensure visuals are clear and legible. Screen format is 16:9 aspect ratio in landscape orientation.
