Visa Requirements

Citizens of countries outside the United States must carry a valid passport and, if applicable, a visa to enter the United States to participate in the 2022 CBD S&T Conference. International conference participants may contact a U.S. Embassy in their home country or go online to determine individual visa requirements. The conference committee cannot intervene with either the U.S. Embassy abroad or the U.S. State Department in Washington, D.C., on behalf of any participant. 

If you are selected as a 2022  CBD S&T Conference presenter and require a personal letter of invitation from the conference organizers to attend the conference, please email your request to organizers@cbdstconference.com.  Please provide the following information in your request:

  • Company, government agency, organization, or academic institution you represent (if applicable)  
  • Complete mailing address  
  • Telephone number  
  • Email address  


Upon receipt, review and approval of your request, the letter of invitation will be emailed to you. This invitation letter can then be provided as part of your visa application.   

Please make your letter of invitation request well in advance to ensure you receive your letter with ample time to apply for your visa; the visa application process can take many months to complete.  

Note: All visa applications are processed by the U.S. State Department. CBD S&T Conference organizers do not process visas.  

The 2022 CBD S&T Conference is open to the public and does not contain any International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) restricted content.
